Carrot Centerpiece

Carrot Centerpiece: Adding a Touch of Whimsy to Your Spring Table

I have a deep affection for captivating centerpieces, particularly those that capture the essence of spring. Among my favorites is this whimsical Peter Rabbit inspired centerpiece, featuring real carrots as its centerpiece.

I have a great fondness for Peter Rabbit. So much so, I even named my son after him. Well, Peter Rabbit and the Apostle Peter. Two of the greats. When I saw this popular trend of incorporating fresh fruits or vegetables into a centerpiece, I fell in love with the idea. I love how this carrot centerpiece turned out and also that it is so easy to accomplish. It truly will wow your guests!

Fresh flowers would look absolutely amazing for this centerpiece, but I choose to go with these beautiful faux hydrangeas, so I wouldn’t have to fuss with water. If you do decide to go with the real deal, you will want to make sure you add water to the small jar that you add inside of the vase.

What You’ll Need

Carrots | Vase | Small Jar | Flowers

Instructions

Step 1- Place a small jar inside of a larger, cylindrical jar.

Step 2- Clean and dry carrots.

Step 3- Cut the ends off the larger end of the carrots, until they are all uniform in length.

Step 4- Place carrots in between the larger and smaller jar, until you go the full way around.

Step 5- Add flowers to the smaller jar.

With a few simple steps you can achieve this super simple Peter Rabbit inspired DIY centerpiece.

Suggestions

If you are planning to reuse the carrots, make sure you pour water in between the large vase and the smaller vase, completely submerging each carrot, to prevent them from drying out.

If you are making this centerpiece in advance, I recommend covering the carrots in water, as they will dry out after 24 hours.
